What We Do.
Infrared imaging provides important information relating to otherwise inaccessible areas of a residential building. Infrared detects extremely small but crucial differences in temperature from one area of a house to another. These temperature variations show up on the camera’s view screen as “cold” or “hot” spots, which reveal hidden problems that often cannot be detected in the course of a traditional visual inspection.

NOTE: Even with thermal imaging and our advanced methods, it is not possible to find every possible defect, (JUST TO BE HONEST). Although infrared thermal imaging is a far better diagnostic tool than the naked eye, it does not guarantee 100% accuracy, unless removal or destruction of components can be achieved to validate findings. When possible, other tools are used to verify thermal images, but even with these considerations we do not claim to have x-ray vision. Conditions may change and cause the apparent temperatures revealed on thermal images to be different at any given time. The greater the temperature difference from inside and outside the dwelling the better it works.
Preparing for an efficient infrared inspection.
It's crucial to obtain adequate temperature differentials (Delta T) between the outside and inside temperatures, in order to obtain a perfect environment for infrared imaging. I'd like you to make sure that every window, door and fireplace flue is completely closed several hours before the infrared inspection takes place. Please verify the indoor/outdoor temperature difference. Indoor and outdoor temperatures must vary by at least twelve to twenty degrees Fahrenheit for optimum infrared results.
We want you to follow us throughout your house and possibly ask you to move furniture or wall hangings. We want you involved and ask any questions you can think of and please have a notebook with you.
